Stefan is a high-level disputes and arbitration expert.

Stefan practices a broad range of high-level commercial litigation and is a specialist in arbitration and cross-border disputes. He regularly acts for investors, corporations and commercial entities in handling complex litigation and arbitration. His sectoral expertise includes finance, energy, resource and land disputes, and climate related litigation.

He also advises on construction related disputes, including in procurement and trade related matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Stefan practiced at international and national law firms in New York, Paris and Toronto, specializing in commercial litigation, trade, and arbitration. He also practiced at the Department of Justice and Global Affairs Canada where he represented the Government of Canada and appeared before tribunals in a variety of disputes, including in ICSID and UNCITRAL proceedings. 

He is a member of the ADR Institute of Canada, the ICC Institute of World Business Law, the American Society of International Law, and is regularly invited to speak on topics at the intersection of litigation, arbitration and compliance.
