Ranjan is a partner of BYLD, and has been with the firm since 1997. His strategic and creative legal approach and commitment to personal attention ensures his clients are always well represented.
Ranjan practices in the areas of commercial and civil litigation, with significant experience with land-based disputes, injunctions, professional liability, shareholder disputes, contract disputes, oppression remedy matters and numerous commercial disputes.
He regularly appears in the Commercial List, and also has had substantial experience before the Court of Appeal for Ontario. Ranjan has participated in numerous mediations, and other alternate dispute resolution mechanisms, and is a tireless advocate advancing a client's interests both inside and outside the courtroom.
Commercial litigation including commercial tenancies litigation; various land-based disputes; corporate and partnership disputes; contract disputes and employment/wrongful dismissal.
Ranjan graduated from Queen's University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree in 1990, and graduated cum laude with his LL.B. from the University of Ottawa (1993). He was called to the Bar in 1995, and thereafter completed his Master of Laws (specializing in financial services and banking law) from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University in 1996.
